Very friendly hospitality, super cozy and delicious ate!

I highly recommend eating out here. It's a cozy atmosphere, you feel very comfortable eating there. A very friendly staff. Good menu with very good dishes, good portions. I always like to eat there.

Nice place to enjoy the quiet of the Black Forest. Very friendly and courteous operators with a heart. Everything delicious at reasonable prices. We'd love to come back.

It's really nice to go there again with the current tenants. The food is delicious, the hosts are very warm, friendly and smiling. It is simply very idyllic and also lovingly managed. We would like to come again.

We wanted to come with a group and unknowingly, allegedly wrongly parked. We didn't even get to change parking! Then the landlord came and very rudely persuaded us to continue driving with words and gestures

In my opinion, vintage vehicles are not welcome. We were on the road with vintage tractors for two days and wanted to stop for a break. The landlord made us use a tone that I only know from the Bundeswehr and how we park our vehicles. When he then made an up / down movement with the flat of his hand in front of his face, it was clear to all of us that we are not wanted here. We then went to another restaurant. I am not used to it, no matter whether I go somewhere with my old-timer car or tractor, we will be warmly welcomed. The guests present are always delighted with vintage vehicles, which is actually a shame about this incident

Great place .... wonderfully quiet in the middle of nature. Delicious food and very nice waitresses. It's great to switch off there

Today we drove our tractors to the Hinterholzstube and wanted to eat and drink with 12 people. There we were received by the boss personally in an unfriendly and disrespectful manner, so that we moved our break to another restaurant and were warmly welcomed there. We will avoid the Hinterholzstube in the future.

This small, totally lovingly run restaurant is worth every trip. The dishes are very finely cooked and served. The service, even when it's busy, is always very nice. We spontaneously extended our stay by one night on the adjoining Womo parking space and had a wonderful stay.

Food is great, service is super friendly and we could camp on site (don't know if you have to make arrangements beforehand). We also got coffee the next morning, what more could you want ?!

New but very friendly tenants since 2019 - keep it up! Update 06/2020 Open again and very pleasant with lots of space and distance As usual, the dishes are delicious and the staff very friendly. The old playground no longer exists. So bring your kids something to do on the big meadow.

We have been here several times now and even in times of Corona everything is taken care of and there is enough space between the tables. Food and service is great. We will of course be back.

Very friendly service, great food. Card Seasonally different and fresh. Been there in the fall and now in June. Will definitely go back when we are close. Keep it up!! Our 11 year old son has taken the chef to heart and thinks it is the best restaurant. His favorite in autumn: venison schnitzel with chestnuts, red cabbage and spaetzle!

Very good, very friendly, very comfortable.

A beautifully located restaurant in a rustic style, with taste expanded. Opportunities to sit outdoors are sufficient. The food is good. The potato salad is homemade. This can be found today, especially in tourist restaurants rarely. We were there on Father's Day in good weather. The restaurant as well as the tables outside were well visited. Because of this, the service had relatively long waiting times. But the service was very friendly and handled complaints professionally. All around, the restaurant is always worth a visit. Thumbs up !

Very nice place, awesome classic south german food, for a very very low price. That does make it worth to drive there.
